Day two with Lloyd and the fishing was better today with a number of species being caught including his biggest permit to date. Congrats Lloyd!

Lloyd is from TX and came down for a conference. Being a wise man he booked two days of fishing before the conference and here we were today. The fishing was tough today but we managed to catch a number of fish using live and artificial baits. Capt. Mo Estevez www.MiamiBoneFishing.com 786-853-1409 Follow me on Instagram @MiamiBoneFishing

Rob and his wife joined me this morning for a half-day trip and we focused on fishing the grass flats that have been productive. The fishing was a bit slower than I would have liked but we definitely caught trout and ended the day missing a bunch of trout when the bite turned on. Capt. There is a saying in fishing that says "you don't know until you go" and that held true for today. Frank and his client John jumped aboard today and we were facing steady 25 mile an hour winds gusting higher. There were only two spots we could fish with the first one proving a bit slow but the second one producing several snook for John who had had the hot hand.

Alec is a local angler and a regular client of mine and every time we fish together we have a great time. Today the search began for Tarpon to no avail as the tarpon were missing in action. We caught a few species but the fishing was slow so we headed down to a couple of shipwrecks where we could not get down to the grouper because the Jacks and sharks were too thick. We ended the day chumming for Bonefish but not finding any

I had the treat today of fishing with my client and friend David aboard his 32 foot Intrepid taking out Joe, his son Vincent and Milan. Fishing was tough and we could not find any Tarpon but ended up in the finger channels that was loaded with fish and kept the rods bent with fish on every cast until the guys confessed their arms were sore. That's the way I like to end a trip!

Today I fish with Jose and his little boy and had a great time on our half day trip. Turns out Jose is from the Dominican Republic and knows one of my clients from there that always has me in stitches during our trips. We concentrated on fishing grass flats close to his hotel and had a blast catching trout, ladyfish, Jack's, Snapper and missing a shark. Capt.
