February 7, 2014 Report

Sneaking in some fishing time before a 7 day cruise, Ron left the cold in Minnesota and boarded my skiff in shorts. Tarpon were the target early morning and they were exactly where they should be. We fished two different spots for tarpon and found plenty of them in both. There were schools of them rolling, flipping and jumping but not feeding. Several times the schools were a rod length away from us and hundreds swimming under the boat in crystal clear water. Despite our best efforts we could not get them to eat. We moved and caught trout ending the day in the finger channels. We caught snapper and grouper in the channels losing a few nice fish to the bottom. We had gorgeous weather and had a great time. Enjoy the cruise Ron! Capt. Mo Estevez www.MiamiBoneFishing.com
