September 3, 2016 Report

Kyle and his buddies were in Miami for a bachelor party and fishing was on the agenda. The fishing overall was slow but we did manage to catch a number of different species such as trout, snapper, barracuda and got into tarpon but no luck with the tarpon. Capt. August 27, 2016 Report (Snook!)

Today Aladwani from Kuwait hopped aboard and the plan was bonefish. However, with a brisk wind and storm clouds everywhere we had to forgo bonefishing. However, he had just bought a new rod and reel at Capt. Harry's Fishing Supply and he wanted to break it in along with some new lures. I am always humbled by what transpires every day and today was no exception. Aladwani mentioned to me that quite a few people in Kuwait had fished with me before and they highly recommended he call me. Wow! I have to tell you, Aladwani is one skilled young angler. We pulled in to the first spot and I told him where to cast and I warned him not to screw it up. Well, he puled back and fired off an extremely accurate cast landing exactly where it had to land, an explosion in the water throws white foam everywhere and his rod doubles over. The drag screaming and Aladwani trying his best to hold on, 10 minutes later he gets a nice jack on his new rod. Broken in! He was amazed how much damage was inflicted on his new lure. Moving on to spot two, he proceeds to land two snook and a barracuda including missing a few other snook bites. Hey, it happens! Only 2 hours into the trip we had to all it quits because of a massive storm building over us. Way to go Aladwani!

August 26, 2016 Report (Snook, Tarpon Video!"

Chad is from WV and was in town with his wife so off we went at 6am for an early start. Spot one had just a couple of tarpon so we moved. Spot two was really all we needed as it was on fire. Chad hoked 9 big snook, landed 7 and we missed a few more bites. To add to the drama, he hooked and lost a fun size tarpon but not before we enjoyed a few big jumps and got one on video. Spot three had a bunch of tarpon stacked up but not feeding. What was feeding were small black tip sharks that kept us excited with each bite. Chad was a pleasure to have aboard and I was glad he caught his biggest snook to date. Congrats Chad!

August 21, 2016 Report

Phil and his wife Michelle are local anglers and joined me early this morning for bonefish and permit fishing. The conditions couldn't be better with a clear windless morning and an early morning low tide. Throughout the morning we had a half dozen shots at permit, both cruising and tailing as well as 4-5 shots at big schools of redfish and a few shots at bonefish. There was decent action although slower than anticipated but all in all we had some good shots. However, Phil and Michelle were great to have aboard and when they left I felt like I had known them for years. I look forward to fishing with them again soon. Capt. Day three fishing with Scott and Mark and today we stayed close to the marina because we were fishing a half day. Fishing a few spots the action was slow but we did manage to get into the big jacks again and trout and had a great time wrapping our time together. Capt. August 19, 2016 Report

Day two with Scott and Mark and today we started off bonefishing but it was slow so we changed it up. Catching some live bait we hit the flats for some shark fishing and it was solid. The guys ended up catching 6 and hooking another 3 or so that came off.

Scott and his friend Mark joined me today for three days of fishing and today we stayed close to the marina and tore it up. Using live pilchards big jacks kept the rods bent, the drags screaming and the action non-stop. At one point Scott had to take a break because the jacks were just abusing us. I like that!
