February 11, 2018 Report (Tarpon video!)

Austin fished with me a few months ago and we had a great time. This time we had some 20 plus MPH winds and an outgoing tide. So what to do? Target tarpon of course. Just a few casts in Austin hooks a big tarpon and the fight is on! Dealing with 6 foot rollers and a nasty chop we struggled to maintain position on the fish and kept getting swept out to by the strong out going tide and big tarpon. Eventually we regained control, got into a better situation and landed the awesome tarpon. Seconds after high fiving Austin says "ready for some calm water?" and off we went to the trout flats. Catching some trout Austin decided to call it a day early and we headed in. What a great morning with a great guy! Capt.
