May 29, 2018 Report

Wow, what a tough two weeks. We've had constant rain, wind and now tropical storm Alberto moved through yesterday. This has lead to a bunch of cancellations so I was glad to be working today. Dino and Vukan from Fishingbooker.com were aboard today and they are great guys. We really wanted to tarpon fish and used up 3 out of our 4 hours to tarpon fish but found a few here and a few there with no hook ups so we wrapped up the day catching trout over the grass flats and got in right as a storm cell was moving over us. One of the cool things today was that we were able to locate some laid up tarpon and make some casts at them. these are tough fish because they will hold motionless just under the surface sunning themselves and relaxing making an errand cast disastrous.
