August 12, 2014 Report

Daniel and Taryn from Georgia boarded early morning for a half day on the water. We arrived at our first spot and never had to move. There was some action from smaller snappers but Taryn quickly landed a nice mutton snapper putting the pressure on Daniel. Not long after he hooks an 80lb tarpon but cut us off a few minutes later on a piling. Again the rod goes off and this time we close the deal on a nice resident tarpon about 50lbs. Once gain the rod doubles over and Taryn is on to another in the 50lb range. With the fish next to the boat about to be landed he makes on giant jump 6' in the air and breaks her off. Urgh. What a morning!
