August 31, 2014 Report

John from Tampa was visiting his son Nick who's attending the University of Miami and wanted to spend a few hours fishing. We started at a bonefish and permit flat which also gets visited by sharks as well. Waiting for fish to move through a huge permit shows up and ignores two good casts before it got too close to the boat and spooked. A few minutes later one of the rods doubles over and Nick eventually lands a 4' feisty lemon shark. We moved flats and a BIG school of giant tailing bonefish welcomed us but they made a hard turn and were out of range quickly. Not long after another school moves in but spooked before we could get off a cast. The day ended with John and Nick landing a few more sharks.
