July 12, 2016 Report (Snook, Video!)

Joey is also a local angler and we've fished plenty of times before and today we just needed one spot. Using artificial lures he caught a barracuda but no other bites so we switched to live bait. That was the ticket! Almost immediately he hooked a huge snook that broke him off at the end of the fight. Urgh! Minutes later he hooked another one that he landed. Again, a few minutes later the permit rod goes off but it was a healthy jack. Again, moments later he hooks another snook but this one got demolished by a big bull shark right next to the boat as the snook was jumping trying to get away from the shark. After the shark showed up the action died off and it was time to head in. Really solid morning with a great guy!
