Trent from Michigan was aboard today for a half day of fun in South Biscayne Bay. We started with having some shots at bonefish and then a big shark moved onto the flat. I made a cast and hooked it only to lost it within seconds. Trent decided he had enough of bonefishing and wanted to chase something bigger and meaner. After having numerous 4'-6' sharks around the boat in 3' of water, we finally hooked up to a powerful 4' blacktip shark. Ofcourse, he hit the lighter 10lb rod and Trent was on for a ride. After an hour fight, we lost him at boat side as he made a last ditch effort under the boat and cut off Trent with one of the trim tabs. Ouch!
