On the heels of a cold front I hit the water today with John armed with a flay rod and wanting to go bonefishing. We had tough conditions with high winds, thick cloud cover and an outgoing tide. Making a long run south we fished protected areas over light bottom that would allow us to work around some of the tough conditions. John had shots at bonefish and tarpon but never did hook up.
