Wrapped it up on a hot streak! March 15-31, 2025

The second half of March was a weather roller coaster ride. We had a cold front move through keeping the air temps in the 50's for almost a week and then tons of wind in the 20-25 MPH range and then it got slicked out with no wind on the last few days of the month. Throughout all this the fishing changed but generally remained good. The tarpon fishing definitely took a hit with fewer fish around but then the last few days of the month there have been resident tarpon rolling during the calm early mornings. While we haven't invested tons of time tarpon fishing, Jp did hook one on fly that broke him off. After early morning tarpon fishing we have been switching off to other species such as bonefish, jacks, lady fish and pompano and this has been a ton of fun. During the windy spell local clients Maria and Elissa fished with me and tore it up releasing two permit, a bonefish, pompano, flounder, snappers, jacks and some shots at tarpon. Wow! Permit fishing has slowed down a bit but we have lost a few bruisers over the last two weeks. The list of clients having great days has been long so here are a few pictures that highlight what's been going on the last two weeks and I expect this to continue into April.
