April 28, 2018 Report

Fishing improved some today for Ben and his girlfriend today. We skipped tarpon during the first part of the trip since we started at 1pm and fished for different species. The sharks were not cooperating but we caught a couple of jacks and nice snapper before seeing the boat traffic diminish and we switched to tarpon. The tarpon fishing was slow but Ben did get a massive 35 plus pound permit to the side of the boat but spit the hook as we were ready to land it. Ouch!

Tarpon was the goal for Corey and his two friends so off we went. Tarpon fishing was definitely slow today but working hard we found some. The problem here was that they were on a diet today so we switched off and caught some trout but even that was slow. Capt. April 21, 2018 Report (Tarpon Video!)

Today I was back fishing in Northern Biscayne Bay out of Key Biscayne with repeat client Dave and his nephew Andrew. I took a look at the tides and knew exactly what we had to do and so we did it. First spot proved to be the golden spot with Dave Landing 150 lb Tarpon and Andrew hooking another one about a hundred pounds getting some nice jumps out of it and then losing him deep into a late run. Saw a bunch more tarpon but we had run out of the bait of choice so we wrapped up the day catching some fish on light rods and artificial lures. Capt. I was out of all the Ocean Reef Club today with John and Patrick. It was an overall slow day this morning as we were bonefishing and although we found a few schools along a shoreline and then one big 10 to 12 pound Bonefish on the Oceanside flat there was not much activity to go around today. Today I was joined by Joris and his 16 year old son and our first stop was tarpon fishing which was slow. We changed it up quite a few times throughout the morning and although we caught trout and Jack's it was brutally slow. But we did hook and lost 2 sharks. Boy what a difference a day makes! Capt. April 18, 2018 Report (Tarpon Video!)

Back from vacation and I was fishing with David again today aboard his 32 foot Intrepid and we stopped off at the first spot put out one bait and started to organize his tackle when the rod doubled over. I grabbed the rod. handed it to him and he smiled and told me "no this one is yours" so Captain Mo was fishing for a change. The end result of a 30-minute fight was 120 lb Tarpon, my first in probably four years. Wow that was cool thank you so much David! Capt. April 11, 2018 Report

Today is my last day working before going on a quick vacation to NY and I had the pleasure of fishing with Tom and his son. We focused on fishing for lots of fish rather than one or two glory fish so we threw lures and caught a bunch of fish including trout, snapper, jacks and got into some tarpon.
