May 6, 2018 Report (Tarpon Video!)
Today was a fun day with a 2 boat trip going on and I had Darren, David and Gene on the boat with me. We started off at our first spot which took two minutes or less to get a tarpon on. After a long exciting fight and having to fend off a shark that was trying to eat our hundred pound Tarpon the three guys triple-teamed the Tarpon and we got it subdued and a release before the shark attacked it. That was definitely a win-win! We wrapped up the trip over some grass flats and although it started off slow I finally located the trout and these guys just absolutely slammed them.

I had some great guys on board today fishing with Tim, Johnny and Matt. We looked for Tarpon since Matt wanted to hook one but we found a few that were on a diet. Next on the list were sharks and again those were not very plentiful and the few that we found wouldn't eat. What's up with that? But we did finish the balance of the trip on the grass flats and these guys tore it up using lures. I had a blast with these guys and a great morning!

Working out of Ocean Reef today we had some pretty tough conditions as I fly fish with David Reginald the guys wanted Tarpon on fly and we had to face about a 20 plus mile an hour wind coming in from the East blowing out those Oceanside Tarpon Flats. However we gave Bonefish a shot and saw school but never really had a good shot at him. We wrapped up the trip on the ocean side Flats anchor top waiting for Tarpon to swim through but never saw a fish. It was a tough day with tough conditions, I broke my push pole and few fish swimming today.

April 29, 2018 Report (Crazy Video!)
Well, today was a surprise. I had Mat and his wife aboard and slammed the trout on lures then switched tarpon but found very few. We ended the day shark fishing where, well watch the video for the insanity!

Fishing improved some today for Ben and his girlfriend today. We skipped tarpon during the first part of the trip since we started at 1pm and fished for different species. The sharks were not cooperating but we caught a couple of jacks and nice snapper before seeing the boat traffic diminish and we switched to tarpon. The tarpon fishing was slow but Ben did get a massive 35 plus pound permit to the side of the boat but spit the hook as we were ready to land it. Ouch!

Tarpon was the goal for Corey and his two friends so off we went. Tarpon fishing was definitely slow today but working hard we found some. The problem here was that they were on a diet today so we switched off and caught some trout but even that was slow.

April 21, 2018 Report (Tarpon Video!)
Today I was back fishing in Northern Biscayne Bay out of Key Biscayne with repeat client Dave and his nephew Andrew. I took a look at the tides and knew exactly what we had to do and so we did it. First spot proved to be the golden spot with Dave Landing 150 lb Tarpon and Andrew hooking another one about a hundred pounds getting some nice jumps out of it and then losing him deep into a late run. Saw a bunch more tarpon but we had run out of the bait of choice so we wrapped up the day catching some fish on light rods and artificial lures.
