October 14, 2018 Report
What a break in the wind today for Rich from MD. It has been blowing about 20MPH everyday yet today it was almost slick calm and we took advantage of the conditions and went fly fishing for bonefish. Right off the bat we had some shots at huge tailing bonefish, then a couple of permit and we ended the trip taking over 10 shots at a big single tailing bonefish in almost no water with it's dorsal and tail fins sticking out of the water. What a rush! Rich had a small bonefish track his fly but turn away at the last minute. Urgh!

October 12, 2018 Report
David loves fishing and we were back on the water today with Barak. Barak had fished with us before so we were off to get bait. The goal was to fish offshore and so we did but the first spot we fished in 500' of water had so much current running through that we kept drifting through it before our baits could get into he strike zone. After a half dozen failed attempts we moved in shallower to 90' of water and we had the opposite problem. There was no current! Ok, what;s this all about? Moving a bit north and a bit deeper the current was sluggish but at least there was current. Immediately Barak hooks up and gets a nice fat mackerel next to the bot but it spits the hook before the gaff could come down on it. A few minutes later he was on again and this time there was no issues and a nice king fish comes aboard. Way to go Barak!

October 4, 2018 Report (Hilarious Video!)
I've fished with Henry before and today he brought his friend Jake along. They were running late since Jake's flight was delayed so we did hit the water until 2pm. With bait on hand and a strong east wind we decided to hit the flats and repeat my last trip with Henry. The first flat was slow but the second flat was on fire with Henry wanting to target barracuda and sharks. As soon as a bait hit the water Jake was on to a nice cuda and Henry was hot on his heels hooked up as well The action continued for a while until the guys decided to target the sharks that were around. With time running out we tossed a few baits in front of them but they would spook. With two circling around I tossed a bait and let it sit. After a few minutes Jake was on and the guys had to tag team the fish. When we got it next to the boat..... Well, you'll have to watch the video for the ending and enjoy these two guys from Brooklyn just have a blast!

September 29, 2018 Report
I love finishing the month off strong and that is what Justin, Nick and I did today. These guys were in town for Nick's bachelor party and wanted to do some fishing. Our trip started on the hunt for tarpon but they were MIA and the strong 20 MPH winds kept us limited to where we could search for them. Changing it up we fish some structure and landed some nice snappers, but not for the table, they would be bait. On the way to the flats to shark and bonefish I stopped off at a spot I like and Justin landed a massive mutton snapper. Nice! On the flats Nick had the hot hand landing two nice lemon sharks, one which almost spooled us! We had some shots at permit and bonefish but never got one to eat.

I had locals Eric and Keith today for a half day and after getting some bait we were off. Eric got a nice jack to start and then proceeded to hook a bull shark which he fought for an hour until the bull broke us off on some mystery bottom structure. Keith got a nice jack too and we wrapped it up catching sea trout.

September 27, 2018 Report (Tarpon Video!)
There are signs that fall is approaching all around us so I was excited to fish with Steve again after 4 years removed since our last trip. Well, it was great fishing with him again and after a slow start Steve hooked a nice 70 plus pound tarpon on a bonefish rod and fight that beast like a champ for an hour and 10 minutes. After the tough but rewarding fight and release we hit the flats and hooked sharks and kept the rods bent and the action going until it was time to call it a day.

I got a last minute call for a charter and met Barrett and Lauren at the marina at 7am. These guys were cool and their business is even cooler, they own and run a gym for horses! Heck, I learned horses can workout to the point where they develop a six pack in their abs! Well, we got some bait and decided to run straight south and avoid the weekend traffic. We really only had to fish two spots with the first one producing a ton of nice snapers and a grouper with Lauren out fishing Barrett. After this we hit the flats where we would wait for the visibility to improve before we bonefished. Once on the flats I spotted a school of shadows and cast a bait into it and Lauren immediately hooked up and seconds later Barrett was also hoked up. After a nice long fight, Lauren had a solid tasty yellow jack in the boat and Barrett landed a nice barracuda. They caught quite a few more barracudas and then we bonefished for the balance of the trip where they had shots a a solid school of big bones rushing the boat.
