February 4, 2019 Report (Video)

With the fishing being so good lately I was excited to get Shane from Canada out for a half day in the morning and of course the first thing I looked for was tarpon. After a long search we struck out and targeted the next best big thing, sharks. Shane ended up hooking over 12 sharks ( I stopped counting at 12) and then ended the trip catching sea trout on fly. February 3, 2019 AM & PM Reports (Permit Video)

AM Report Things are starting to heat up and I've been fishing most day now with today being a double for me. My morning trip was with Nick and Andy from Wisconsin and right from the get go we targeted tarpon. I found a few schools off the beach and we had great conditions but no hook ups as the fish were moving around a lot and it was tough to stay in them for long. Changing it up and waiting for the tide to turn we fished some other spots with little show for it until the tide really got going. This is when Nick hooked up and landed his first permit. Andy was up to bat and the tarpon moved in but no go. All in all it was a great morning with that nice permit. PM Report Regular local clients Gary, Adam and Jake boarded for my afternoon trip and the permit and tarpon moved out of the spot they were at in the morning so we went to a finger channel and caught mutton snappers, yellow jacks, big blue runners, lane snappers and other species. By the time we called it a day early we had gone through 10 dozen shrimp! Awesome day today! Capt. Mo Estevez www.MiamiBoneFishing.com 786-853-1409 Follow me on Instagram @MiamiBoneFIshing

Wow, what great conditions Nathan and I had today and he drove from Melbourne just fish for bonefish. As we worked a number of flats there were only one or two in which we didn't find fish. He had a bunch of shots on fly and spin but we couldn't connect in spite of some close calls. Capt. Mo Estevez www.MiamiBoneFishing.com 786-853-1409 Follow me on Instagram @MiamiBoneFIshing

Every year Craig and his son Andrew fish with me and the tradition continued today. Tarpon was on the agenda for Andrew and we found some but they were tough to get to bite. They caught a bunch of other fish an some we used to target bull sharks. We found them and guess what? They had lock jaw! What? Bull sharks with lock jaw? This was unbelievable! Capt. January 31, 2019 Report (Tarpon Video)

I was so ready to redeem myself from the last two trips with terrible conditions so I was eager to fish again with Dale from Texas. Last time we fished we had a blast and today was no exception. With the conditions being much better and the water temps back in the low 70's the bay came back to life. I set up on a spot I like for permit but instead found tarpon, lots of hungry tarpon and in no time Dale had hooked three and landed one. This was the day I needed and was happy to provide for Dale. After dropping off my daughter at school on a day off I got a last minute call for an afternoon trip so I took it and met Ron at the Ocean Reef Club. The passing cold front had dropped the water temperature over 6 degrees and made fishing difficult. Ron caught a few fish but all small and there was no life on the flats. Capt. Similar conditions today as my last charter with 25 plus MPH winds but this time from the south and Mark and Matt were aboard for some bonefishing. The wind made running south suicide and unwelcoming with the water being milky white. So, we fished the lee of a key where bonefish tend to swim through and they were there but they were staying in about 2-3 feet of water and the cloudy conditions made sight fishing impossible. The end result was blowing out a few fish and then looking for tarpon in a bunch of places away from the wind to to avail. Tough day. Capt.
