March 5, 2019 Report (Tarpon Video)

Regular long time client Alain from France was on board today and we mixed it up. Starting with tarpon we found some but they moved out when a big bull starting chasing them. Then we caught snapper and had bull sharks move in but for some strange reason they refused to eat over live baits. We finished off tarpon fishing where Alain hooked one about 140lbs and fighting in for about 15 minutes before the massive fish broke us off on bottom structure. That sucked! Capt. March 4, 2019 AM & PM Reports

AM Report Jeff was back on the bow today but this time it was just him armed with a fly rod. Given the windy conditions we found tarpon that refused to take a fly and then we had plenty of shots at bonefish. PM Report Rob is from the UK and he tried to fish with me last year but I was booked so today I was able to finally fish with him and it was a pleasure! He really wanted to make sure he caught fish so he put on hurting on nice big mangrove snappers. Along the way we had bull sharks move through and 4 or 5 of them came up to eat the bait we had set up for them but they kept missing it and never did get hooked after providing a spectacular show. For his birthday Dylan got to go fishing with his mom Fran and his girlfriend Bethany. The guys were awesome and we had a blast! Starting off chasing bones on fly Dylan had some shots before the girls started to hint that they wanted to fish too. Moving to a spot I like they loaded up on fish and it was bent rods on almost every cast. Then we hot the flats again but for sharks this time. Not long after a big lemon came up, took the bait and Dylan got a 250 plus lb lemon shark after an hour and 20 minutes. Way to go guys!

Back on David's boat today and we headed offshore with Steve. Spot one was stacked with fish but using deep jigs we lost the first fish we hooked and on the initial drop. We made another drop and Steve hooked up and landed a barracuda. The third drop was fruitless as the fish had moved on. We trolled a bit with no results and called it a day after a bit longer.

Sometimes locals never enjoy time on the water and that is the case with Elliot but his dad Jeff and friend Jerry made sure to change that. The goal was to get them on fish and bend some rods and we did that from the very moment we made a cast. The guys caught plenty of fish before we hit the flats where they tag teamed a big 300lb lemon shark before breaking us off when the line on the reel dug into itself. Urgh! Capt. February 28, 2019 Report

Austin and I have fished quite a few times together but never with his little boy but today I got to meet Bubba. Bubba's a great kid very respectful and just an absolute pleasure to spend time around which speaks volumes to the job Austin and his wife are doing with him. We're fishing out of Key Largo today and hit a bunch of spots having snook redfish and trout chase our lures but always seeming to fall short. It was a gorgeous day and I sure wish Austin and Bubba would have been able to hook the nice fish that we kept running into. After dropping them off at the OCean Reef Club I ran back to the marina alone, stopped off at a spot and landed this nice cuda. Wow, I wish they would have caught it instead!

Local kids Misha Abe and his brother are from Fort Lauderdale and they wanted to do some tarpon fishing and all around scouting out Biscayne Bay. We started off looking for tarpon and found a whole bunch early on but before we got a bite they were gone within 30 minutes. We kept searching for Tarpon throughout the trip but ended up catching some nice Snappers along the way just to keep things interesting and hooking several sharks.
