November 16, 2019 Report

I had regular local client Kurt along with his son and girlfriend. We caught bait, loaded the live well and headed to a cut that had been holding fish. There we caught fish on every cast for three hours mainly jacks and losing a few snook. Capt. Mo Estevez 786-853-1409 www.MiamiBoneFishing.com Follow me on Instagram @MiamiBoneFishing

I arrived last night from Louisiana after a 15 hour drive and today I had Robert from Sweden on board. With really high water I decided to have him catch some fish before we chased bonefish. Well, Robert did just that including landing a massive mutton snapper we had seen crashing our live chum in the distance. As the tide dropped we wrapped up the day bonefishing where Robert hooked a nice one but it ended up getting eaten by a shark, a first for me. So frustrating!

November 9, 2019 My Louisiana Trip!

Well, well, well, what an awesome time in New Orleans. Since it was too cold for the fish to move in shallow and chase with a fly rod we sued spinning gear and lures and got 6 or 8 of them. What a blast, check out the video!

I was part of a 5 boat corporate charter today from 1-5pm and I was itching to show the guys a good time and get home since I'm leaving for New Orleans tonight to fly fish for big redfish in the marsh. After catching bait, 4 of the 5 boats rode together to the marina for pick up and then every one went their separate ways. I stayed close to the marina and looked for tarpon which were MIA but in the process the guys Scott and Dan caught their fill of jacks on bait and top water then we missed two bull shark bites before calling it a day. Wow, fishing has been so good! Chris is a local client of mine and he wanted to make sure his grand daughter Blue caught fish today. hadn't seen Blue in a while so it as good to see her again and with the well loaded with live bait, it was going to be good. Well, one spot is all it took for Blue and Chris to get their fill of fish as the action was on from the moment we got there. Chris was able to take home some fresh fish dinner and Blue caught a giant yellow jack. What a great trip! Capt. November 4 and 5, 2019 Report

I had Gary from the U.K. for two days and the goal was the same each day, target bonefish on fly then switch off to catch other stuff. Both mornings were tough bonefishing with just a shot or two each day but with a live well full of live pilchards it was game on for everything else. Gary caught a ton of fish on bait and lures including stub mutton snappers and big grouper. It was awesome!

November 1, 2019 Report (Tarpon Video!)

What a way to start November! I had Jill back on board today but her husband Bob was back at the hotel attending a conference. Well, well, well he would definitely regret that! Jill had caught plenty of fish two days ago with me and today she wanted to target tarpon. So, the hunting began! The first spot had a bunch of tarpon with lock jaw so we changed it up. Spot two had a bunch of fun jacks but we only saw one tarpon roll. Hmm, weird. Yeah, ok check this out. As we fished, my engine started going up all on it's own due to a trim switch short. This was not good! Well, the engine trimmed itself all the way up and a few minutes alter a 120lb tarpon eats Jill's bait and is off at full speed as my engine won't trim down and I can't chase it. Geeze! Somehow the I was able to trim down the motor and chase the fish but I had to keep my finger on the trim switch in order to prevent it from going up again. So, a 120lb tarpon going nuts, Jill on the fight, I'm trying to steer, record video and keep my finger on the trim switch. Once the fish settled down I turned off the battery switch and got the fish. Wow, awesome fish, awesome angler and it's had to beat the drama of today. I think I aged 5 years this morning!......
