Steve is a local angler whose fished with me before and today the target was tarpon, 8 hours of pure tarpon fishing. Awesome! Tarpon fishing is one where just when you think you have things figured out you have to go back to the drawing board. Today was one of those days. It was definitely slower than I had expected but manageable. We had 5 bites over the course of the trip and hooked two fish, both well over 100lbs. Unfortunately both came off! Urgh!!!! Steve and I will head back out in May looking for some serious redemption.
