October 28, 2016 Report (Shark Fest!)
Yesterday I had to cancel my trip with Alain due to 35 MPH winds and gusts to 50 MPH but the weather settled down a bit and we headed out. These guys are hardore since the 20-25 MPH winds and 30 MPH gusts not bothering them one bit. With live bait on hand we ran down to the flats on a bumpy and wet ride and settled into our spot for the day. Again, this was the only spot we needed as the fishing was on fire today! Water clarity was good on the shallow 2 foot flats and it was on! The total tally for the day was hooking 13 sharks, landing 7 and landing a massive 15lb mutton. Sure conditions were tough but the fishing was awesome!
