September 30, 2016 Report
Mike and I have fished before and today we were going to go bonefishing. Conditions were good so we started off fishing close to the marina to get some other species in the boat first before committing to bonefish. The snook spots were slow and we found a few tarpon with lockjaw but managed to catch a few other species. Running down to the bonefish flats it got really good with lots of bonefish swimming through. We had a ton of shots at bonefish but didn't hook any. They were acting extra spooky today and even a cast 8 feet in front of them would spook them. There were several times where Mike made solid casts and the bones would cruise around the shrimp and ignore it. As frustrating as that was my only explanation is that they were keyed in on something else other than shrimp.
