The end of January saw the weather clear up a bit and we had clearer skies but still persistent windy conditions. But, the fish still have to eat ad they did. Most of the trips I had during this time were trips to just catch fish and have a good time and we did. One trip with Walt and Jack was especially windy but we crossed the bay and absolutely killed it with big yellow jacks, snappers and more. At one point it wa fish on every cast for about an hour. Nice! My month ended with Steve for two days and we were fly fishing for bonefish, tarpon, snook, etc... Day one was slow with only a small snook accounted for but day two was much better. right off the bat early morning Steve had a number of shots at tailing bonefish and cruising bonefish in super shallow calm water, not an easy task! We ended the day with tons of shots at mudding bonefish and a nice bonefish released on fly. Way to go Steve! It's been a god month and I expect it to remain solid in February. Stay warm!
