February 9, 2019 Report

Local angler Josh is a really cool guy and has a Jeep like me! He wanted to focus on bonefish so we did but faced some tough morning conditions with high winds and thick coud cover. Never the less, we had some shots and the pulled on one. As the day progressed the visibility improved enough where we could sight fish and had a few more shots to end the day. Capt. Some really cool people step aboard my boat and today it was Jenny and her brother Jaime who were born exactly 1 year apart and were celebrating their birthday today. The plan was to make sure they caught plenty of fish and had a good time so we did just that and ended the day with both of them hooking multiple sharks. Happy Birthday guys!

February 5, 2019 Report (Bonefish on fly video)

It's been a couple of years since I fished with Maria from CT but she was back in town and we headed out with flyrod in hand. She had some early morning shots at bonefish and redfish and then caught grouper, sennets and other fun stuff over a shallow shipwreck, but things were going to change. With perfect conditions and a great tide I told her we would hunt bonefish and she was up for it. After a few flats and plenty of shots at bonefish and permit she got the perfect cast to the perfect school and strip, strip, strip, "I'm on!" as the fly rod bent and the line started screaming out. What a feeling when we finally got the release! Congrats Maria! Capt. Mo Estevez www.MiamiBoneFishing.com 786-853-1409 Follow me on Instagram @MiamiBoneFIshing

With the fishing being so good lately I was excited to get Shane from Canada out for a half day in the morning and of course the first thing I looked for was tarpon. After a long search we struck out and targeted the next best big thing, sharks. Shane ended up hooking over 12 sharks ( I stopped counting at 12) and then ended the trip catching sea trout on fly. February 3, 2019 AM & PM Reports (Permit Video)

AM Report Things are starting to heat up and I've been fishing most day now with today being a double for me. My morning trip was with Nick and Andy from Wisconsin and right from the get go we targeted tarpon. I found a few schools off the beach and we had great conditions but no hook ups as the fish were moving around a lot and it was tough to stay in them for long. Changing it up and waiting for the tide to turn we fished some other spots with little show for it until the tide really got going. This is when Nick hooked up and landed his first permit. Andy was up to bat and the tarpon moved in but no go. All in all it was a great morning with that nice permit. PM Report Regular local clients Gary, Adam and Jake boarded for my afternoon trip and the permit and tarpon moved out of the spot they were at in the morning so we went to a finger channel and caught mutton snappers, yellow jacks, big blue runners, lane snappers and other species. By the time we called it a day early we had gone through 10 dozen shrimp! Awesome day today! Capt. Mo Estevez www.MiamiBoneFishing.com 786-853-1409 Follow me on Instagram @MiamiBoneFIshing

Wow, what great conditions Nathan and I had today and he drove from Melbourne just fish for bonefish. As we worked a number of flats there were only one or two in which we didn't find fish. He had a bunch of shots on fly and spin but we couldn't connect in spite of some close calls. Capt. Mo Estevez www.MiamiBoneFishing.com 786-853-1409 Follow me on Instagram @MiamiBoneFIshing

Every year Craig and his son Andrew fish with me and the tradition continued today. Tarpon was on the agenda for Andrew and we found some but they were tough to get to bite. They caught a bunch of other fish an some we used to target bull sharks. We found them and guess what? They had lock jaw! What? Bull sharks with lock jaw? This was unbelievable! Capt.
