July 19, 2014 Report
Steve was in town and a little fishing was in order so off we went in search of some hard fighting species. We started fishing for sea trout and caught a few, then off we went to the finger channels for snappers and small grouper. We had an imaginably low tide today so we couldn't fish the flats but there were plenty of fish in the channels. Steve caught a bunch of snappers and lost some nice fish to the rocks. On one of the snappers a big barracuda slices it in half right next to the boat so I rigged a rod and Steve got him, a nice 3' toothy barracuda. Fishing picked up again with the Barracuda no longer around but then another one ate another snapper in time for us to call it a day. It was a gorgeous day and we had a blast!
