Dale and Cassandra boarded my skiff for the second day of their charter. Today we would focus on sharks on the flats for a different experience and it was awesome. We ended up hooking 6 sharks, landing two monsters in the 6' range and losing one that was significantly bigger than the 6 footers we released. That one massive shark took over 100 yards of line before I could reel in the second rod and put it in the rod holder! Unfortunately, the extreme pressure he put on the braid with a tight drag was too much and the braid broke. Cassandra landed her biggest fish to date with a 6 foot lemon shark in the 200lb range and Dale landed one about the same size. It was definitely a great day with lots of action, great people and lots of laughs!
