April 5, 2016 Report

This was day 2 with Scott from MD and the goal was tarpon. Unfortunately the tarpon fishing was slow. However, after fishing a number of spots catching different species including sea trout we decided to go for sharks and we had a blast. In short order Scott hooked 7 sharks with almost non-stop action! He ended up landing one int he 80lb range and losing a few much bigger. As we waited for the sharks to move in you could see them zipping in behind the boat like a fighter jet, one after another with less than five minutes wait in between. Of course, a bait dropped in front of them was immediately devoured and the drag began to sizzle. What a day to end 2 days fishing in Miami!
