July 1 2016 report

A.m. report. From Mexico came Lorenzo senior and Lorenzo jr. Father and son and they were a lot of fun this morning. Our first spot was a bit bumpy due to a stiff East Wind which is very unusual for July so we moved off to our second flat of the day and that one was loaded. Using strictly artificial lures Lorenzo and his dad caught Blue Fish, snapper, Barracuda, Lady Fish and shark and it was on fire. We called it early today because of the rain storms and lightning around us
PM report I had to wait about 30 minutes in order for Brad and his two sons Brad and Barrett to jump on the boat and head out for my afternoon trip. The storms that got us off the water early in my morning trip were still around and had intensified so it's always better to be safe than sorry. When the weather finally cleared a bit we ran South and fished a Shipwreck where Barrett and Brad both caught about 20 fish apiece. Now we decided to hit the flats for shark but that proved to be slow so we moved off to the third and last spot of the day where on the second drift Barrett hooked up a nice big shark that absolutely smoked the reel and after fighting it for about 15 minutes it broke us off. What a heartbreaker! We wrapped up the trip a few minutes later after a couple of drifts and called it a day.
