July 3, 2016 Report
Local angler and repeat client Andy brought his friend Jason along today for a half day before boat traffic got crazy. Breezier than it should be in July we fished our first two spots with not much action. Spot 3 had tons of fished marked on my Raymarine and a big bait later Jason was doing battle with a raging shark. The 30 minute fight had some additional thrills as a big bulk shark attacked Jason's hooked shark but didn't hurt it too bad. Not long after the rod broke but we managed to land the beautiful 5' black tip in spite of a shark attack and a broken rod. Whew! We ended the trip Tarpon fishing where we got a hit but only a leader with Tarpon slime to show for it.
