July 4, 2016 Report (Fishing Fireworks)
My trip this morning was with Alfonso from Mexico, his son Juan Pablo and J.P.'s friend Santiago. The morning was slower than I would have liked but we still caught trout, snapper, trigger fish and a mutton snapper. Juan Pablo wanted to catch his first shark but they weren't feeding with the trying incoming tide. I decided to fish a free spots in order for the tide to slow some. Once that tide slowed we gave shark fishing another shot and it went off! We needed just a few minutes and both rods went off with a double header on drag burning sharks. Thirty minutes later we had two releases and time to go home. What a way to end out morning!
