October 13, 2015 Report

Mike and Norm were back on board again and the plan was bonefishing. I couldn't help but fish the mullet run at first light so we met up at 6:30 am and headed to South Beach. What a difference. We found only one school of mullet and no predators around harassing them. With no action we headed to the bonefish flats. Seeing plenty of sharks and stingrays had my hopes up but we only found two small schools of bonefish. Switching to trout proved slow as well so off to the South Beach again. Now with the outgoing tide things looked a bit better and Norm hooked into a nice jack that gave him a solid fight and mid way through the fight a big bull shark tried to eat the jack. At the end of the trip Norm hooks into a monster that burned drag for a solid 45 seconds even as we chased it down only to break us off. URG! I don't like it when that happens.
