This is the sport where seconds and millimeters matter, sometimes a lot! I had Jason and Ben today with Ben fly fishing and Ben spinning. They just wanted to catch fish but didn't mind giving bonefish a shot. So, we bonefished and had a decent number of shots. Jason was on the bow and made a few good casts and so did Ben. However, on one of them Ben made a great cast and the school went right over and missed his shrimp. On another school Jason made a great cast, began stripping and we see a bonefish pull away from the school and wake right for his fly. Then bam, the bone ate the fly but Jason pulled the rod back just a bit and pulled the fly. Ouch! The rest of the trip we focused on catching yellow jacks, big blue runners, snappers and more on fly and lures. It was a blast and the guys wore themselves out. But then we hot the flats and caught lemon sharks. then they knew what it was to get worn out by a fish. LOL
