Still cold... December 28, 2020

Regular client Brad was on board today so off we went and fished for snook at first light.  Well, the snook weren't there although there were a few "snook like" bites we missed.  Brad did catch a few species before we moved on.  Moving on to the finger channels Brad caught yellow jacks, jack crevalles, porgies and a few snappers before I ran way south to try for bonefish on fly.  The bonefish were definitely not friendly today as Brad had to blind cast in order to overcome the cloud cover.  With no go and time to head back I asked to throw the fly a bit to try his GLoomis fly rod, and wouldn't you know it, a bonefish smacked the fly!  Thankfully I missed the take and handed the rod back to Brad.  Guide rule number 2, never outfish a client!
