August 1, 2014 Key Largo Report

Today I fished the 3rd annual Sheridan House Ministries tournament. This year it was held out of Key Largo and I had the pleasure of fishing with Greg and Perry. Under beautiful conditions we headed west towards the Everglades looking to catch a grand slam of trout, snook and redfish. We had a great day today as early on we caught trout and then we followed up with big snook and big redfish including some nice jacks of close to 30 inches and a big mangrove snapper.  The grand slam was complete by 11am and we called it a day early and headed back to the marina 2 hours ahead of schedule. At the end of it all Greg won the biggest snook division and Perry won the biggest redfish division, out of 24 guide boats. We had a great time under some great conditions and caught some nice fish.
