Wow, two days off in a row and back on the water today with local angler Davide who wanted to try saltwater fly fishing. Our morning trip yielded trout, snappers and jacks in some breezy conditions. We found plenty of tarpon but it was tough for Davide to get a fly to them in the wind without having mastered the double haul. By the time we got back to the dock the wind was howling. Isn’t it May and it’s supposed to be calm? Weird!
